Michael Christensen is a Partner of Thistle Creek Capital. Mike has practiced real estate development, asset management and lending throughout the Western United States. Prior to co-founding Thistle Creek Capital, Mike was the President of Cambia Capital Partners, a real estate lending fund and family office focused on mezzanine debt lending in the Western United States. Prior to joining CCP, Mike was the Chief Investment Officer of iCap Equity, a real estate investment fund with investments in the Pacific Northwest. In addition to his role at Thistle Creek Capital, Mike serves as a management advisor to one of Utah’s largest master planned developments. Previously, Mike worked at the Utah Fund of Funds. Mike holds a B.A. from the University of Utah, an MBA from Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business and Management and a Master of Dispute Resolution from the Pepperdine University School of Law.
Carol Christensen, CPA is a Partner of Thistle Creek Capital. Carol has worked for 30 years in the private equity and investment fund industry. Carol was a partner and the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Northgate Capital, a Danville, CA-based, private equity and fund of funds firm. Prior to joining Northgate Capital, Carol was the Controller and Chief Financial Officer at Horsley Bridge Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity fund of funds manager. Carol oversaw the financial and administrative controls during the firms’ growth and managed the financial accounting and reporting processes for the benefit of many large institutional investors. More recently, she has managed a family office, investing in real estate projects and private equity investments. Carol graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University and earned her CPA license while at KMG Main Hurdman, predecessor to KPMG International.
Zach Harris is a Senior Associate of Thistle Creek Capital. Zach has practiced construction management and real estate development in the Western U.S. for the past several years. Prior to joining Thistle Creek, Zach was a Reinvestment Project Manager in Apartment Development at the Irvine Company, a privately held real estate investment company in Newport Beach, CA. Prior to joining the Irvine Company, Zach was a Project Engineer at Parkway Construction and Architecture, a privately held design-build general contractor in Dallas, TX. Zach holds a B.S. in Construction and Facilities Management from Brigham Young University.
